Last week in Youghal there was a play showing at the community centre called the “Passion”. The play’s programme said it was “an evocative, naturalistic drama loosely based on the last three years of Christ’s life”, which pretty well sums it up. Several scenes in the play were drawn from sources such as the gnostic gospels. So yesterday, Seth had the opportunity to go on our teammate Mervyn’s local radio show and discuss the issues that the play raised. We talked about the reliability of the New Testament, the prophecies that Jesus fulfilled, and especially the resurrection. Hopefully the result of these issues being raised in Youghal will be that people look into the evidence and the gospel record for themselves!
