This weekend, the Baptist churches in the Cork area joined together for our annual joint missions conference. It’s a great time to get together, think about why we’re here, and look out at what God is doing in the world and how we can be part of it. We love the way the churches here work together for things like this. And it’s not just the Baptists working with themselves – the main speaker for the conference was a Presbyterian pastor in Ireland, and a Church of Ireland leader gave a report on the state of evangelicalism in Ireland. All of this was held in a building owned by the Methodists. When it comes down to it, the names we call ourselves are not nearly as important as the Gospel that can bind us together.
