Last night we went out to see a traditional Irish music show in the same building we use for church. It was amazing to listen to, plus the dancing and the story telling is great fun! During the second half they open the stage for anyone from the audience to perform as well, and since Seth has done it before, the group leader wouldn’t take “no” for an answer. This time he roped Jess into it as well even though we had nothing prepared! It worked out, sort of – we did find a song (“I Stand Amazed in the Presence” to an Irish tune, “The Sally Gardens”) and we almost got through it… before Seth (who is writing this) blacked out!
I don’t know what happened, really – I felt great and was just thinking we were doing a good job when I didn’t feel great anymore and then people were helping me off the stage. Embarrassing. But I’d say we were one of the most memorable acts of the evening for sure!
I wish I could have seen it….
